My Caravan – Interview with The Wobble Boxers

At CaSSOA we love finding out about caravanners and motorhomers.

This month, we meet James, his wife Katy and young daughter, otherwise known as The Wobble Boxers. Let's see what James had to say...

What make/model of caravan do you have?

We have a Bailey Pegasus Grande SE Palermo

When did you start caravanning?

My wife and I both started caravanning when we were both very young children and we bought our first caravans soon after passing our driving tests. It wasn’t until we met in 2010 through the Caravan and Motorhome Club magazine letters pages that we then bought our first joint caravan 6 months after our first time of meeting each other.

Where is your favourite place to go?

We very rarely visit the same place twice as we like to tour around. But our favourite place we have ever been is the Arctic Circle in Finland and Sweden

What do you like most about caravanning?

Family time, freedom, space, and the adventure. No 2 trips are ever the same.

What do you like least?

Going home!

What is the piece of kit you can’t do without?

Ordnance Survey maps as we find most of our activities and walks via the map. Also levelling blocks. Versatile and essential!

What is the best piece of advice you could give someone thinking about buying a caravan/motorhome?

Explore all variations of caravan sites from the big parks with entertainment right down to the farmers 5 van cl and cs sites through the 2 main clubs. There is a wide variety to suit all tastes and budgets
