My Caravan – Interview with “For the Love of Caravans”

Ian and Clare, otherwise known as "For The Love of Caravans" are caravanners based in the Wirral.  Find them on Twitter and YouTube where they vlog about their our caravan adventures, stories, tips, site reviews and ideas.

Do you have a caravan or motorhome?

We have a 2014 Swift Challenger SE 645 Twin Axle caravan.

When did you start caravanning?

We bought our first caravan in 2009. We mainly went camping with the kids. In 2017 we decided that the camping was getting too much for us, getting old. We bought our second caravan and have not looked back since. We are now onto our third caravan and love it.

Where is your favourite place to go?

Cornwall, the west coast is absolutely stunning. The weather can be hit or miss but it does not hold us back.

What do you like most about caravanning?

The freedom that a caravan gives you. We are so lucky to be able to get away from our work life and enjoy quality family time once a month. We also get 3 weeks away in the summer. The friends we have made though caravanning are now like family.

What do you like least?

Has to be the chemical toilet... I don't need to go into great detail about that. What is the piece of kit you can’t do without? Quad movers. Our caravan is so heavy they are a must. It also saves any embarrssment trying to reverse a nearly 8m caravan onto a pitch.

What is the best piece of advice you could give someone thinking about buying a caravan/motorhome?

Go for it... it will change your life for the better. Also don't try and keep up with the Joneses on the next pitch.... speding £1000 or £40,000 you are still doing the same as the Joneses.

In case you missed it..
