Indoor Secure Storage.
The facility is protected by an alarm system and the only entrance to the building is via a secure compound. The entry to the compound is controlled by gates that can only be unlocked electronically by key-fob. The gates too are alarmed to protect against forced access.
Customers are each given a key-fob to access the secure compound. This serves as a collection/delivery area.
All caravans are moved between the compound and the storage facility by the proprietor in order to reduce the risk of damage.
The proprietors live on site for added security and the entrance to the barn is visible from the proprietors' house for added "natural surveillance".
The site is located west of Carlisle, so is within a short drive of the M6 motorway, the northern Lake District (Keswick, Cockermouth, Penrith etc), the Solway Coast (Silloth) and South-West Scotland (Dalbeattie, Rockliffe, Kipford etc).

From the M6 North motorway: take junction 41 from the M6 and follow the B5305 for around 17 miles. When you reach the A595 T-junction, turn right towards Carlisle. After around 4 miles you will reach a roundabout. Take the first exit, the A596 signposted for "Wigton". Follow the road for around 3 miles. Take a left-hand exit from the A596 signposted "Crofton". Around ¼ miles down this road you will see the storage facility on your left and a sign on the side of the building for "Crofton Leisure Storage".
From the A74M/M6 South motorway: take junction 44 from the A74M/M6 and head into Carlisle on the A7 (Scotland Road). Heading through several sets of lights you will drop down a hill, over the Eden River bridge and approach a large roundabout named "Hardwicke Circus" Turn right here (third exit) onto the A595, "Castle Way". You should shortly pass Carlisle Castle on your right. Travelling through a set of lights, you should approach a small roundabout. Carry straight on here (second exit), keeping on the A595 "Wigton Road". Follow this road out of town. After around 6 miles you will reach a roundabout. Take the third exit, for the A596 signposted for "Wigton". Follow the road for around 3 miles. Take a left-hand exit from the A596 signposted Crofton. Around ¼ miles down this road you will see the storage facility on your left and a sign on the side of the building for "Crofton Leisure Storage".
