Security Surveys
The CaSSOA approach to surveys is influenced by three major ideologies as follows: -

  1. Risk assessment as seen by the Insurance Underwriter
  2. The approach to security surveys as Home Office Crime Prevention Centre
  3. The approach to security surveys as per the Loss Prevention Council and Fire Protection Association

By combining the above, a security strategy that is effective, economical and workable, will be presented.

The surveys have a singular purpose - to assess the risk having regard to all the attendant circumstances. The risk is assessed by reference to what may be termed the canons of security, viz: -

  • Environmental vulnerability
  • Crime patterns or trends
  • Local economic and social conditions
  • General site design
  • Access

Each of the respective canons are expanded upon to produce a survey report that meets the needs of the site under review.

CaSSOA recognises that there are basic security principles but care is taken to avoid a pro-forma type report - a security feature that may be recommended for one site may not have the same deterrent value for another.

Paramount in every site survey are the tenets of best advice and best practice which together portrays the corporate image of CaSSOA as the benchmark in caravan storage security.
